Birzeit Student Elections: Israeli soldiers 'come to visit'
Magne Hagesater (PAS student at Birzeit University), Right to Education Campaign, 25 April 2006
Wednesday was the day of the student election in Birzeit University . As last year, the Israeli occupation forces came to visit. 6 military-jeeps stopped outside the entrance to the university. Students begun throwing stones and soldiers started shooting rubber-coated bullets and teargas, for about 15 minutes. A student got shot in his arm; he fell and broke his foot. A few got slightly injured. Apparently, this visit is nothing more than to provoke a reaction from the students.
