Right to Education

Under the patronage of academic and national leaders, Birzeit University celebrated the graduation of its thirty fist class of its Faculty of Science and Faculty of Graduate Studies alumni.


Dr. Nabeel Kassis, president of the university delivered a speech in which he congratulated the graduates and their families, urging them to keep in touch with their university and be good representatives of it in the labor market. He also promised, on behalf of the university, to add new BA and MA programs to the schedule next year.


Dr. Rafeeq El-Huseini, representing Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, congratulated the graduates and appealed to them to be reliable and helpful in building the Palestinian future.


Other speeches followed by Ibrahim Daqqaq, Chair of the Board of Trustees of Birzeit University, and Dr. Nasser Ash-Sha’er, Minister of Education, All of the speakers commented on the current situations in Palestine and called the disputing parties to be reasonable and give priority to the interests of the whole country. They also agreed upon the role of the fresh graduates in the future reform.


Afterwards the celebration continued in the conventional way including music and other activities.
