Gaza children struggle for education

In the second part of the BBC’s ‘Hunger to learn’ series, looking at the lengths that children go to to get an education, Katya Adler reports from Beit Lahiya in Northern Gaza.

Palestinian authorities claim that more than 400 children were killed in last winter’s Israeli offensive there against Hamas.

Their school friends have now gone back to their classes despite the trauma, the unexploded ordinance and numerous other physical obstacles that stand in their way.
