On the International Day of Education, Scholars for Palestine UK and the Right to Education Campaign at Birzeit University held this online event. It highlighted Israel’s systematic assault on the higher education sector in Palestine as one dimension of Israel’s genocidal campaign against Palestinian civic and social infrastructure, and what scholars in the UK and beyond can do to help.
The event was held on January 24, 2024 at 5pm, with speakers including Rafeef Ziadah (Kings College London), Mazen Masri (City, University of London), Samia al-Botmeh (Birzeit University), and Abdel Razzaq Takriti (Rice University), chaired by Omar AlShehabi (University of Leeds).
