As the whole world is fighting for survival amid the spread of coronavirus pandemic(COVID-19), the campaign of arrests against BirZeit University students continues. This morning, April 22, the Israeli occupying forces arrested two Birzeit University students.
Muhammad Hassan and Abdel-Rahman Alawi, both member at the university’s student council, were arrested from their homes. The Israeli occupation is arresting our students, putting them under investigation in unsafe and unsanitary conditions.
Today more than 80 detained students from Birzeit university are exposed to an imminent danger as a result of the spread of Coronavirus inside Israeli prisons.
We, at the Right to Education Campaign, call upon all human rights organizations to shed light on the violations against our students that put their lives in danger. We demand that all human rights and international organizations take their responsibility to hold Israel accountable for its violations against the Palestinian people before international courts.
