WEST BANK, (PIC)– Hamas Movement confirmed in its monthly report that the Ramallah authority continues the policy of political arrests against its cadres, while the occupation continues to detain the former political detainees released from PA jails.

Hamas reported the PA abuses during the month of October, pointing that the PA security services had arrested in the previous month 63 cadres and supporters of Hamas in the occupied West Bank including 27 ex-prisoners liberated from the Israeli occupation jails and 14 university students.

According to the report, PA apparatuses had also summoned 18 other Hamas supporters for questioning, during October, and had extended the arrest of 20 political detainees despite the military courts had issued rulings stipulating their release.

The Islamic resistance movement also stated that the Israeli occupation army had arrested 11 Hamas cadres after their release from Ramallah authority prisons, within the so-called “security cooperation”.

For its part, the Committee of political detainees’ families in the West Bank denounced the Policy adopted by the PA security apparatus represented by the continuation of arresting ex-detainees, liberated from Israeli jails, and summoning leading figures for interrogation in the security services headquarters.

The Committee denounced in a press statement summoning the liberated captive Omar Abu Shalal by the general intelligence service in Nablus.

Abu Shlal, who was held under the administrative detention, was a leading figure in the captive movement and took part in the recent prisoners’ hunger strike. He was released by the occupation after 75 days of an ongoing hunger strike.

The Committee of political detainees’ families also called the Palestinian forces, factions and organizations to intervene to stop violations against the icons and leaders of the Palestinian captive movement.
